Media and Technology

Computer Lab

We are very thankful to have Ray Swanson volunteer his time to make our media center a very special place. Without his dedication and volunteerism, our computer lab wouldn't be what it is today. A committee of teachers, administrators and volunteers meet once a month to determine long range technology goals. If you'd like to volunteer, have questions, or concerns please contact Ray Swanson via email at [email protected].

Computer Lab: Each classroom has a scheduled time in the lab each week. You're always welcome to stop by and see what our children are learning or better yet volunteer your time. Ray and the teachers always need a helping hand. The PTA has furnished all the equipment in the Lab, including the servers, which enables campus-wide student access to their centrally stored documents.

BrainPopLearning Software: Holmes PTA pays for the following programs for our students each year; United Streaming, Brainpop and Brainpop Jr. , Windows XP and Microsoft Office licenses, and Cyberlink Video Editing software.

BrainPop is for grades 3-5 and BrainPop Jr. is for K-3. The software covers a wide range of subjects conforming to California Standards.
